1950s Pink Taffeta Dress
If we weren’t meant to spin around in delight Mr. Fred Perlber would not have designed this pink taffeta confection for us to wear. It’s delightful with its fitted princess seam bodice featuring a curving row of tucks and a full circle skirt falling just below the knee. Added by the designer is a fantastic bow, fitting the pretty picture. Perhaps you are swinging on a swing which has its ropes covered in garlands of fresh flowers. She is not perfect, there are a few flaws: one visible period mend on the shoulder and a few areas where the red warp threads of this taffeta “shot” fabric are visible. Size small: waist 26 inches, bust 34 inches, free hips. no stretch.
